Before we cut a single thread, we sit down with you in our PJU3 workshop and tell you the truth.

We examine the garment closely, check for seam allowances, look at fabric condition, and try it on you so we can see the actual problem rather than the one you might assume. Then we explain three things: what is technically possible, what it will cost, and whether we genuinely think it is worth doing.

Sometimes the answer is “yes, this is going to look fantastic.” Sometimes it is “we can improve it, but it will not be perfect.” Occasionally, especially with cheap fused construction, the answer is “honestly, you would be better off putting this money toward a new garment.” We have built four decades of trust on these conversations, and we will never push work you do not need. Suits and Sport Coats

Ahmad and James handle every kind of suit work, from simple sleeve shortening to full rebalancing of older jackets. We understand the architecture of full-canvas, half-canvas, and fused construction, and we know which alterations each one will accept. Common requests from our PJ clients include taking in jacket waists after weight loss, dropping trouser hems for a longer break, and rebalancing sleeves that pitch forward from desk work.

Bridal and Formalwear

Mei Ling’s bridal book is one of the busiest in Petaling Jaya. She handles white gowns, modern cheongsams, traditional Indian bridal wear, and bridesmaid dresses for weddings across Bandar Utama, Damansara Heights, Subang Jaya, and the major hotels along the LDP. Her hand work is patient, precise, and respectful of fabrics that simply cannot tolerate mistakes.

Vintage and Heirloom Garments

Some pieces carry more weight than their market value. A grandfather’s wedding suit, a mother’s bridal kebaya, a 1970s Savile Row jacket inherited from an uncle. We have restored garments that range from the 1960s through to present day, and we treat every one of them as if it were our own family’s. Pricing You Can Plan Around

Every alteration begins with a free assessment. After we have examined the garment and pinned the work in a fitting, we give you a clear, line-item quote.

• Simple work such as hemming pants, shortening sleeves, or adjusting a single seam runs from $20 to $35.
• Moderate alterations such as taking in a jacket waist, recutting a dress through the body, or replacing a lining run from $50 to $250.
• Complex restructuring such as jacket rebalancing, vintage restoration, or full bridal alterations runs from $75 to $300.

There are no surprise charges. If we discover something unexpected mid-work, we always pause and call you before continuing.

Rush Service When Life Demands It

We understand that Klang Valley schedules do not always cooperate. A last-minute trip to Singapore, a wedding invitation from Penang, a sudden client meeting at PJ Trade Centre that demands a sharper jacket. We offer rush turnaround for urgent cases, with a small surcharge for the priority slot in our queue. Just let us know when you arrive and we will tell you what is possible.
