• High-twist tropical wools in 7 to 9 ounces, sourced from Vitale Barberis Canonico and Holland & Sherry. These hold a crisp line even after a long commute on the Federal Highway.
• Open-weave frescoes, originally developed for British colonial postings in the tropics, that allow air to move through the cloth.
• Half-lined and unlined constructions for our PJ executive clients who spend half their day outdoors at site visits in Sungai Buloh or Cyberjaya.
• Irish linens and linen-silk blends for outdoor garden weddings, which remain a fixture across the Klang Valley calendar.

What Makes Our Pattern Drafting Different

A great bespoke suit lives or dies at the cutting table. James Lee and senior cutter Ahmad bin Zainal draft every pattern from a blank sheet, taking more than 30 measurements and several photographs to capture posture, shoulder slope, and the natural angle of your arms.

The result is a paper pattern that belongs to you alone. We then archive it in our PJU3 workshop, so any future commission, whether next year or in 2035, starts from the same foundation. This is the part of bespoke that off-the-rack and made-to-measure shops cannot replicate, because it requires a human cutter who understands the architecture of the human body.

Our Process in Petaling Jaya

Every commission moves through the same calm, unhurried sequence:

1. Discovery consultation in our PJU3 atelier, where we discuss the suit’s purpose, your wardrobe, and your daily routine across PJ and the wider Klang Valley.
2. Fabric selection from our curated tropical-weight library, with swatches you can take home to compare under natural Selangor light.
3. Measurement and posture assessment, where we record over 30 measurements and observe the way you stand and move.
4. Pattern drafting by hand on the cutting table.
5. Baste fitting about three weeks later, when you try on a skeleton version of the jacket and we sculpt the balance.
6. Forward fitting with the canvas in place, where we refine drape and finalise details.
7. Final pressing and delivery, usually six to eight weeks from your first visit.

Most of our clients come back for a second commission within twelve months. That tells us the process is working.

Bespoke is an investment, and we believe in being honest about what you are paying for. Our commissions start at $1,800 for entry-level worsteds and reach $4,500 for premium British and Italian fabrics. Every quote includes consultations, the unique pattern, full-canvas construction, all fittings, and any later adjustments. You will never see a surprise charge.

James and our lead seamstress Mei Ling Chai will adjust the waist, sleeves, and trousers as your body changes over the years, and that work is offered at no additional charge for the first round of minor adjustments.
